An evening with Alexane Drolet
About this event
This event will be in French. Simultaneous interpretation in English will be provided.
As the Creator in residence at Library and Archives Canada (LAC), Alexane Drolet has spent the past few months delving into our collections. And she has a few things to tell you!
As a journalist and the content creator behind the Alexplique platform, Alexane is used to breaking down current events to make them simple, accessible, and engaging for young adults. As part of her residency, she makes the connection between the past and the present and explores the collections with the same curiosity that characterizes her work.
What did Alexane take away from her experience as Creator in residence? What surprised her? And how did this adventure fuel her final project?
Alexane will take us behind the scenes of her residency at LAC, from her research work to her experience with the collections, including her discoveries and her final project.
Members of LAC’s Youth Advisory Council will also have a few questions for her before opening the conversation to the public, both on site and online.
Archives, publications, questions, discoveries… the Alexplique version!

The in-person event will be followed by a reception from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.
